Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MediaVikings collects, uses and protects personal data when you use ClonBot (the website at clonbot.ai, the dashboard and the Telegram bot — together, the "Service"). We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

2. What we collect

• Account data — your email address and authentication details (managed via Supabase Auth; if you sign in with Google or GitHub, the basic profile data they return).
• Billing data — plan, subscription status and billing identifiers. Card and payment details are collected and stored by Stripe; we do not store your full card number.
• Content you submit — links, source videos, images, prompts and the videos generated for you, processed to provide the Service.
• Telegram data — if you link Telegram, your Telegram user/chat identifier so the bot can deliver your videos.
• Usage & technical data — basic, aggregated analytics collected via DataFast, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (no tracking cookies, no selling of personal data), plus standard server logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) needed for security and operation.

3. Why we use it & legal bases

• To provide the Service (create your account, generate and deliver videos, manage credits) — performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To take payment and manage subscriptions — performance of a contract and compliance with legal (e.g. bookkeeping) obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
• To secure, maintain and improve the Service and understand aggregate usage — our legitimate interests in running a safe, working product (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Service providers (processors)

We share personal data only with providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service, under appropriate data-processing terms:

• Supabase — authentication and database.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• AI model / video-generation providers — to generate the video Output from the material you submit.
• Hosting provider — server infrastructure that runs the Service.
• Telegram — to deliver generated videos to you, if you link it.
• DataFast — cookieless, aggregated website analytics.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, as required by the GDPR.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing and accounting records, which Danish law generally requires us to keep for five years).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@clonbot.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk) or your local supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to address incidents promptly.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
