How to schedule TikTok posts on desktop and phone.
You can schedule TikTok posts for free with TikTok Studio, TikTok's own tool on the web and in its companion app. Here are the steps, the limits that trip people up, and when a scheduler, or a tool that also makes the posts, is the better fit.
Free, no sign-up. Three slideshow ideas for your app in about 20 seconds, ready to schedule.
Can you schedule posts on TikTok? Yes. Upload in TikTok Studio at tiktok.com, switch "When to post" from Now to Schedule, pick a date and time, and click Schedule. TikTok posts it for you.
- WhereTikTok StudioOn a computer, or the TikTok Studio app. The regular TikTok app has no schedule button for most accounts.
- How far ahead15 min to 10 daysTikTok's stated window. Some accounts now report up to 30 days, so check your date picker.
- AccountsAccount type mattersIf Schedule is missing, switching to a Business account in Settings and privacy usually adds it.
- Photo postsNot reliablyNative scheduling was built for video. Photo slideshows often need the app, or a third-party tool.
Checked October 2026 against TikTok for Business's video scheduler announcement (15 minutes to 10 days), TikTok's TikTok Shop seller guide (same window; 30 days for shoppable videos) and recent guides from Buffer and others that report 30 days in TikTok Studio. TikTok changes this by region and account, so treat it as a guide.
Schedule a TikTok post on your computer.
Five steps in TikTok Studio's upload page. Tap a step to see where it is.
Log in at tiktok.com on a computer and open TikTok Studio, then Upload. The direct address is tiktok.com/tiktokstudio/upload.
Drag in your video or click Select. Some accounts can upload photos here too; if yours can't, see the phone steps below.
Add the description and hashtags, choose a cover frame, and set who can watch and comment.
Under When to post, switch from Now to Schedule and pick a date and time. The time follows your computer's time zone, so check it if you're travelling.
Click Schedule. The post waits under Posts in TikTok Studio, and TikTok notifies you when it goes live.

On your phone, and after you schedule.
The main TikTok app is for posting now or saving drafts. Scheduling from a phone happens in TikTok Studio's app, and changes to scheduled posts happen in TikTok Studio too.
Schedule a TikTok post on your phone
Install TikTok Studio, TikTok's free companion app for iPhone and Android, and log in with the same account.
- Tap Upload and pick your video.
- Add the description, hashtags and cover.
- Choose Schedule post instead of posting now, and set the date and time.
- Confirm. The post shows as scheduled in the app and on tiktok.com.
For a photo slideshow, the reliable phone route is still the regular TikTok app: build it, save it to drafts, and post it yourself at the time you want. Steps for that are in how to make a slideshow on TikTok.
Change or delete a scheduled post
Open TikTok Studio on the web or in the app and go to Posts. Scheduled posts are marked with their time.
- To delete: open the post's menu (the three dots) and choose Delete. It is removed before it goes out.
- To change it: some accounts can edit settings on a scheduled post there. The video, and often the caption and time, can't be changed.
- The fix that always works: delete it and schedule it again with the changes. Keep the file until the post is live.

Do scheduled posts get fewer views? And when to schedule them.
No evidence of a penalty
TikTok has never said scheduled posts are shown less, and it would be odd to build and promote a scheduler that hurt the posts that use it. A post scheduled in TikTok Studio goes out as a normal post. We know of no public test showing a reliable drop.
What changes the numbers is the post itself, and being there when it goes out. The first hour of comments is yours to answer, so schedule for a time when you can reply.
Timing: use your own numbers
Studies of the best time to post on TikTok disagree, because they average millions of accounts across time zones and niches. Treat them as a starting point. Your own audience shows up in TikTok Studio's analytics, where accounts with enough followers can see when their followers are active.
Consistency matters more than the minute. Across our library of 1,332 viral slideshows, every weekday had between 12% and 16% of the breakouts, and most came from small accounts that posted on an ordinary day. Schedule one or two posts a day at times you can keep, then compare. More in how to go viral on TikTok.
Skip the scheduling. Get the posts made, too.
A scheduler saves you from posting at 18:30. It doesn't make the post, and for app makers that's the slow part: an idea, photos, text and a sound, twice a day.
ClonBot autopilot does both. Every night it builds photo slideshows for the day after tomorrow from 1,332 formats that already went viral, with your app's real screens in the photos and the same creator on every post. You approve them, or type what should change on a slide. Approved posts go to TikTok at your times with a trending sound, or to your TikTok drafts if you'd rather press post yourself.
Plans start at $99 a month for 60 posts, two a day. See pricing, or try the field at the top for three free ideas.

Questions about scheduling TikTok posts.
Can you schedule TikTok posts on your phone?
Yes, with the TikTok Studio app, TikTok's free companion app for iPhone and Android: upload, choose Schedule post, pick the time. The regular TikTok app has no schedule button for most accounts, so there you can only save a draft and post it yourself later.
How far in advance can you schedule a TikTok post?
TikTok's own documentation says 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. Some accounts now report up to 30 days in TikTok Studio,. Your date picker shows your limit.
Can you schedule a photo slideshow on TikTok?
Not reliably with TikTok's own tools, which were built for video. Many third-party schedulers can post TikTok photo posts, and ClonBot makes and posts photo slideshows for you. Otherwise, save it as a draft in the TikTok app and post it at the time you want.
Do scheduled posts get less views on TikTok?
There is no evidence they do. TikTok hasn't said scheduled posts are treated differently, and a scheduled post goes out as a normal post. Schedule for a time when you can answer comments in the first hour.
How do I delete a scheduled post on TikTok Studio?
Open TikTok Studio, go to Posts, find the scheduled post, open its menu (three dots) and choose Delete. It won't be published.
Can I change a scheduled post on TikTok?
Partly. Some accounts can change settings on a scheduled post in TikTok Studio, but the video, and often the caption and time, are fixed. The reliable way is to delete it and schedule it again.
Why don't I see the option to schedule on TikTok?
Check three things: you are in TikTok Studio, not the regular app; your account type (switching to a Business account in Settings and privacy, then Account, usually adds it); and that the post is a video, since photo posts often can't be scheduled natively.
Is there a free TikTok scheduler?
Yes, TikTok Studio is free. Some third-party tools also have small free plans.
