How to add a link to your TikTok bio, and which link an app should use.
To add a link to your TikTok bio, go to Profile, Edit profile, Links, and paste the full URL. The option only shows once you have 1,000 followers or a registered business account. Here is the path on iPhone and Android, what to do when it's missing, and the right link for an app.

Who can add a link to their TikTok bio.
As of October 2026, TikTok gives the clickable website link to two kinds of accounts: personal accounts with at least 1,000 followers, and registered business accounts, which have no follower minimum. Everyone else can type a URL into the bio text, but it won't be clickable.
You get one link. To send people to several places, point it at a link-in-bio page. TikTok also says the feature isn't available in every region, so an eligible account can still be missing it.

iPhone and Android use the same path. On desktop, a URL typed into the bio stays plain text, so add the link in the app.
Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?
If the Links row is missing from Edit profile, it's almost always one of these six things.
Under 1,000 followers
The most common reason. It counts followers, not likes, and dropping back under can remove the field.
Just crossed 1,000
The row isn't always instant. Give it a day or two, then log out and back in.
Business, not registered
Switching to a business account in Settings isn't always enough. Check whether TikTok asks you to verify the business.
Old app version
Update TikTok from the App Store or Google Play. New profile fields often only show in the latest version.
Your region
TikTok says the website link isn't available everywhere. An eligible account in some markets won't see it.
A blocked URL
Some domains and link shorteners get rejected or stop working. Try your own domain or the store link itself.
How to put a link in your TikTok bio without a business account.
The honest answer: below 1,000 followers on a personal account, you can't add a clickable website link. What you can do is make the app easy to find until you get there. For an app account we'd stay personal anyway: business accounts get a smaller, commercial sound library, and a personal account looks like everyone else in the feed. More in TikTok business vs personal accounts.
- URL in the bio textNot clickableType a short address people can remember, like yourapp.com. Many won't copy it.
- Instagram and YouTubeClickable, any accountEdit profile has separate Instagram and YouTube fields. If your Instagram has a link, that's one tap away.
- Name it in commentsNot clickableLinks in comments don't work, but a name does: "it's called X, free on the App Store" is searchable. Pin that reply.
- Reply with a postBest for appsReply to a "what app is that?" comment with a new post that shows the app. The question becomes your next post.
Which link should your app put in its TikTok bio?
An App Store link, a store link that picks iPhone or Android, or a link-in-bio page. Answer three questions and paste your store links to get the exact link.
What viral slideshows do instead of saying "link in bio".
We checked the captions of the viral photo slideshows in our research library. Almost none push the bio.
viral slideshow captions point to the bio (1.4%).
posts that already show a product or app in the slides also say "link in bio". The others let the slide do it: the app is on the phone in the photo, or named as one tip in a list.
median views of the captions that point to the bio, against all 1,303. No sign that asking for the click helps.
ninaCreatorit's yuka!! free, link's in my bio tooHow it works for an app: the scanner is on the phone in slide 2, the overlay text never names it, and the comments ask. The bio link is where that reply sends people. Examples made by ClonBot to show what it does. We're not affiliated with these apps.
That is the job of the link in your bio for an app account: it catches the people who already asked. The slideshow does the selling by showing the app as one moment in a story, the "what app is that?" comment does the asking, and the bio link turns it into an install. ClonBot builds slideshows around that loop, with your real app screens in the photos. See TikTok slideshows for apps and the wider playbook in how to market an app on TikTok.
Questions about TikTok bio links.
Do you need 1,000 followers to add a link in your TikTok bio?
On a personal account, yes. As of October 2026 the website link shows at 1,000 followers. A registered business account can add one with fewer followers.
Why can't I add a link in my TikTok bio?
Usually you're under 1,000 followers, your business account isn't registered, the app is out of date, or the feature isn't available in your region. If you just passed 1,000, wait a day or two and log out and back in.
How many links can you have in your TikTok bio?
One website link, plus the Instagram and YouTube fields. For more destinations, link to a link-in-bio page and put the most important button first.
How do I find my TikTok profile link?
It is tiktok.com/@ followed by your username. In the app, tap Share profile on your profile and choose Copy link.
How do I put my YouTube or WhatsApp link on my TikTok bio?
YouTube has its own field in Edit profile, under Social, for any account. For WhatsApp, put a wa.me link with your number in the Links field once your account has it.
Should an app link straight to the App Store?
If your app is iPhone only and the link has no other job, yes: fewer taps means more installs. If you're on both stores, use a link that sends iPhone users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play.
Does a link in your bio hurt reach?
There's no evidence it does. In our library, captions that ask people to tap the bio didn't get more views, so let the post earn the visit and keep the caption about the story.
