A post stuck at 0 views is almost never random. Answer eight yes-or-no questions and you get the likely cause, how to check it in the app, and whether to wait or delete.
Posting for an app? Free, no sign-up: three slideshow ideas built on formats that already went viral.
A TikTok with 0 views is usually still processing or under review, set to private or friends only, not eligible for the For You feed, or just showing a delayed counter. Check them in that order. If none apply after 24 hours, nobody was shown the post: post something new rather than waiting on it.
Open the post in TikTok. The questions run from the most common cause to the rarest; the first yes is your answer.
Most 0-view worry comes from checking too early.
Normal: 0 views while the post is checked and shown to its first few viewers.
Do: check privacy once, then leave it. No deleting or reposting.
Normal: a few to a few hundred views. Still 0 usually means review, privacy or an eligibility flag.
Do: check the post's analytics and Account status.
Normal: the first push is mostly over. 0 now means it was never shown.
Do: fix the cause and post something new.

Posts only friends, followers or you can see never reach For You.
Every upload is checked before it's recommended. Usually minutes; some reviews take longer.
TikTok keeps some posts out of For You without removing them: unoriginal or low-quality content and topics it limits for broad audiences. Profile and search still show them.
Repeated violations can make a whole account temporarily ineligible for For You. TikTok notifies you.
The same images or video again, from you, a second account or someone else's post, counts as unoriginal. So does another app's watermark.
A fresh account gets a small test audience. In the US, accounts registered as under 16 aren't recommended in For You.
TikTok shows posts first to people near you. A VPN, travel or a foreign SIM sends it to the wrong audience.
Likes on a post showing 0 views means people saw it. Analytics can lag a day. A sound muted for copyright also hurts; business accounts only get the Commercial Music Library.
Deleting doesn't punish an account; reposting the same thing can.
We checked the usual views of the accounts behind 1,332 viral TikTok slideshows. Plenty started from almost nothing.
Grouped by the account's usual views per post (median of recent posts), over the 1,319 slideshows with that figure. Groups are cumulative. The library holds only hits, so this shows where they came from, not the odds.
One of these accounts usually got 89 views a post, then hit 9.3 million. Read how many views is viral for what counts as a breakout, and how to get more views once the zeros are gone.
App accounts hit two causes most: new-account seeding and duplicate filters.
Posting one slideshow repeatedly, or from several accounts, trips the duplicate filter. A new post each time is fine, even on a format that worked: new photos, new story, same hook pattern.
ClonBot works this way: each post starts from one of 1,332 viral formats and is made new with your creator and real app screens. See how to market an app on TikTok for the full plan.
TikTok doesn't use the word. It marks posts or accounts as not eligible for For You and shows that in post analytics and Account status. If both are clear, it isn't a hidden ban. For how restrictions work and how long they last, see the TikTok shadowban guide.
A public post normally has a few views by then. Still 0 usually means review, a privacy setting or a For You ineligibility flag. Check privacy, the post's analytics and Account status.
Sometimes counters lag or freeze for many people at once. Likes or comments with 0 views means a delay; give it a few hours.
Usually not; a low post doesn't hurt your account. Remove copies and posts with an ineligibility notice, but never delete and repost the same post.
Rewatching your own post doesn't reliably add views or reach. A 0 means nobody else has been shown it.
If Account status and the post's analytics show no violation or ineligibility notice, you're most likely not restricted. The shadowban guide covers the rest.
For a new or small account, yes. Of 1,332 viral slideshows in our library, 189 came from accounts whose posts usually got under 1,000 views in total.
ClonBot makes a new slideshow for your app every day from formats that already went viral, never a copy of an earlier post, and shows each one against your usual views. Setup is free; plans from $99 a month.
