TikTok theme pages. The playbook, from 323 that went viral.
A theme page is an account about one topic instead of one person. We found the theme pages among 1,303 viral TikTok slideshows and measured what they post, how far it travels and how often people save it. Then pick a theme and get a two-week plan.

A TikTok theme page is an account built around one theme, such as quotes, recipes, study methods, room ideas or animal facts, with no recurring face and no personal story. The topic is the brand. Theme pages grow by repeating three or four formats that work in their theme, posting every day, and turning hits into series. They mostly post photo slideshows, because a slideshow is the theme in its purest form: a hook, a list, something to save.
This guide is the theme-page playbook. For being off camera in general, read faceless TikTok. For which topic to pick, see TikTok niches ranked by data.
Theme page or persona account? What the data says.
We sorted 1,303 viral slideshows by who posted them. A quarter came from theme pages, a fifth from accounts with a person at the centre, and the rest sit in between.

How we found theme pages. Each post in our library has a note on who is speaking. We counted a post as a theme page when that note describes a page, curator, brand or faceless account, and a face shows on no more than a quarter of its slides (the same face check as on our faceless guide). Persona accounts are the opposite: a person speaks, and a face shows on more than a quarter of the slides. The other 710 posts fit neither cleanly and are left out of both columns.
We have one viral post per account, so "one theme" is read from how the account describes itself. Easy to recreate is our own effort rating.
Read the table in two directions. A theme page's viral post travels further and gets saved more, but those accounts were already bigger, with about 1.7 times the usual views and 1.8 times the followers. Persona accounts broke out from under 10,000 followers far more often (41%). A theme page is a slow build that compounds. A face, even a recurring one in photos, gives a new account something to follow sooner.
The formats theme pages repeat. Reach ones and save ones.
Eight format types make up 83% of the 323 viral theme-page posts. They split into two jobs.
Reach formats bring followers
Quote sets (7.9M median views) and relatable posts (8.2M) travel furthest, because anyone can get them in one slide. They are saved less: relatable posts at 1.6%. These are the posts that put a theme page in front of new people.
Save formats keep them
Guides (4.6% saved), checklists (4.5%) and recipes (4.1%) are reference material. A save tells TikTok the post was worth keeping. A healthy theme page alternates: one post to be found, one post to be kept. More on why saves matter in TikTok saves.

Pick a theme. You get name ideas, ten post formats that went viral on theme pages in that theme (with their real views and save rates), and a 14-day posting plan.

Hooks are the real first-slide text of viral theme-page posts in our library; write your own version. Days 1 to 10 never run the same format twice in a row; days 11 to 14 rerun the four most-saved formats with a new topic. With an app, it shows up as one slide on two days out of fourteen: in our data, 9% of viral theme-page posts had an app in them. Handles are ideas; check they are free.
Should your app run a theme page? Only if the content is the product.
A theme page shows your app as a resource. A persona account shows it in someone's life. Pick by what your app is.
Run a theme page
When a post in your theme is already a sample of the app.
- A quotes or affirmations app: every quote set is a preview.
- A recipe or meal-plan app: the recipe slideshow is the product.
- A wallpaper, study or flashcard app: the post is the content people install it for.
- An astrology or pet-care app: facts and rankings in the theme lead straight to it.
Run a persona account
When the app is a tool someone uses in their day.
- Dating, money, fitness tracking, party games, photo editing.
- The story needs a person: the date, the budget, the night out. The app is one moment in it, and the comments ask what it is.
- You want a new account to break out sooner: 41% of viral persona posts came from accounts under 10K followers.
Example made by ClonBot to show what it does. We're not affiliated with this app.
ClonBot is built for the persona side: one consistent creator, a cast of friends per post, your app's real screens, and formats from 1,332 viral slideshows, many of them from theme pages. Running both? Keep them as separate accounts; see multiple TikTok accounts, and TikTok slideshows for apps for where the app goes in a post.
How to grow a theme page, and how it earns.
One theme per account
A viewer follows a theme page for the next post. If the next one is about something else, there is no reason to follow. Test a second theme on a second account.
Three or four formats, on repeat
Pick one reach format and two or three save formats from the planner and keep their look identical: same font, same cover style. Recognition is the brand when there is no face.
Post daily, then make series
A post that beats your usual views gets a "Part 2". Series hooks were rare (12 of the 323 theme-page posts) but those posts did well, at 5.6M median views. Daily is the usual rhythm; see how often to post on TikTok.
How theme pages make money
Not from views on slideshows. As of October 2026, TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays only for original videos longer than one minute, from accounts with 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, and photo mode posts are not eligible. Theme pages earn from what they point to: affiliate links (TikTok Shop's follower minimum varies by country), paid shoutouts from brands in the theme, a digital product of their own, or an app. The link in bio does the work; see how to add a link to your TikTok bio.
Why apps get the most out of it
A page living on shoutouts needs a big audience before the first dollar. A page promoting its own app gets paid in installs from the first post that lands.
Questions about TikTok theme pages.
What is a theme page on TikTok?
An account built around one topic rather than a person: quotes, recipes, travel ideas, study tips, facts. It usually shows no recurring face and posts photo slideshows in a few repeatable formats. In our library, 323 of 1,303 viral slideshows came from theme pages.
What is an FYP page on TikTok?
FYP means For You page, TikTok's main feed of recommended posts. "FYP page" is sometimes used for a theme page that posts content meant to land on the For You feed rather than for friends. Adding #fyp is not what gets a post there; the format and the first slide are.
What are good TikTok theme page ideas?
The themes whose viral theme-page posts did best in our data: recipes (7.0M median views on viral theme-page posts), quotes and affirmations (7.8M), beauty and style (6.3M), fitness and health (4.5% saved) and travel ideas (5.3% saved). Try the planner above for formats in each.
How do you grow a TikTok theme page fast?
One theme, a reach format and two or three save formats on repeat, a post every day, and a "Part 2" for anything that beats your usual views. Theme pages in our data that broke out from under 10,000 followers still reached a median 3.0M views on that post.
Does TikTok pay $600 for 1 million views?
Not for slideshows. As of October 2026 Creator Rewards pays only for videos longer than one minute, and rates vary by country and audience; photo posts earn nothing per view. A theme page's money comes from affiliate links, shoutouts, its own product or an app.
Can you have more than one theme page?
Yes. TikTok lets you switch between several accounts in the app. Keep one theme per account and give each its own look; see multiple TikTok accounts.
